Preferred Management Team Criteria
• Spin-out teams with top-quartile investment performance
• Senior team members who have worked together for years
• A history of achievement – with the strong motivation to build a lasting franchise
• $300 million or greater first-fund potential
• Predominately US-focused investment strategies, but will consider Western European strategies
• Teams that can quickly scale assets under management
Meteor5 will consider a broad range of buyout, growth and other private equity strategies including, but not limited to, teams that focus on:
Sectors – especially specialists with deep operational experience – teams that have strong attribution to excellent returns in selected sectors and have a proven ability to implement positive changes within portfolio companies.
Country-specific or regional strategies – perhaps a senior local team seeking to leave a Pan-European private equity firm – teams that have deep relationships.
Special situations – teams that can take advantage of unique opportunities within companies undergoing change – often requiring specialized expertise. Types of special situations strategies include turnaround, restructurings, spin-offs, asset sales, or other catalyst-oriented situations.
Meteor5 will generally not invest in real estate, infrastructure or credit-related funds
